ONE OF MY NEW BUSINESS CARDS!

Today, I invested a few minutes and very few dollars toward my future.  Vista Print had one of those periodic specials and presto!....250 free business cards!  I spent a few extra dollars, though, because I wanted more freedom in the layout/font/color choices.  You know what?  I STILL saved a bundle!  Not needing the cards ‘immediately’, I took standard shipping and received additional cards at a GREATLY reduced price.  All in all, I am quite pleased with the entire venture.

“You have to spend money to make money” is an oft-used adage and it is completely true.  No matter what you do as a business venture, money must be spent:  The key is to make wise expenditures. 

Websites are a necessity for many people; must be designed, configured, hosted, etc.  If you market/sell strictly using email, you will need internet capabilities and some type of ‘device’ tosend and receive emails.  Direct mail involves postage, etc.  Regardless of ‘how’ you make this money, you will need some type of method to document and track your efforts and results.  How else will you know what works/what doesn’t work, who buys/ who doesn’t buy/ etc.  Don’t forget those all-important tax records! 

What I’m trying to get at is that although you will have to spend some money for the success of your chosen venture, approach it the same way you would when making any other long-term purchase.
